We went and played mini golf. The course is pretty fun, with a few hazards like a jump and tunnels. The holes have a little map before each one showing optimal routes - a couple of them are on the wrong holes, which is a bit confusing. The dinosaurs are pretty good but I'm not super clear why it's dinosaurs AND ancient Romans - seems like you could have just picked one.
Golf course average for this time of year. Very hot but normally very good. Food average to below average

Great member owned golf club, great condition fairways and greens. Lovely traditional club house and a great welcome for societies. Recommended!!
Another great day at Colchester Golf club course was in good condition considering the dry mouth we have had a bit dryer in places but greens were in good condition . All our members and their guests enjoyed the day bar staff and catering staff served us very well thanks very much.

Great utilities and very clean. The place is air conditioned so is nice and cool. Not overly busy when I've been and never had and issue with the equipment. Their ending machines accept card payments which is really helpful. Overall good value for money and would recommend.
Good gym, lots of equipment, open 24hrs, they have a great open area for body weight exercises, machine weights area for every body part and a 1-2universal multi-gyms. They have cardio sections on 2 different levels and a decent changing/ shower room. great price, and great security system in place. They even have snacks for before and after your workouts. Lockers too! What's not to like. The price is über good value for money 5*

Staff never discuss anything fitness related. Staff have to promote drinks when you arrive at the gym - very annoying. Personal Trainer initial meeting lacked professional. I decided it to proceed with further sessions so he now won’t even say hi! Staff basically lack genuine customer service skills or training. Nice people but clearly not targeted on creating a great customer experience. Parking can be tricky when in peak periods. Pool area is basic. Sauna is small. Gym is always being cleaned. Equipment is average. Decent room. Air con a bit unreliable in the summer. Good free weights. Staff not proactive in ensuring customers folks gym rules. Weights often all over the place and dropping weights instead of lowering them. In three years no member of staff has asked me how is my training going. Or if they can help with anything. Promised new equipment last summer but it never arrived. For the money the gym is good value.
I’ve had no problems with parking so far, all staff seem lovely and friendly & the gym and pool are clean. It’s a good gym

My little girl loves it here... She recently attended a party here which was brilliant... The only issue I have is with the changing area and how hot they are.

This place needs a good clean. Pools are actually good but the state of the changing rooms needs attention. I found a vent that was so clogged with dust and filth it must have been a few years old. And at 26.50 for a family ticket i expected more. Will not be returning.
Very good facilities and so much fun. Lifeguards were very friendly and helpful. I had experienced a horrific injury whilst swimming in the lazy river. Whilst I was in first aid, very worried indeed, the lifeguard was very kind and helpful. She had a polite conversation with me which took my mind right of my injury. Also while I was in first aid a shaken up boy came in with a cut open knee which was from a sharp part of the end of the rapid. I thoroughly enjoyed the rapids and slides at Leisure World as did my friend and every other participator. The hot tubs where very enjoyable and the temperatures of the baby pools where very suitable for a young age. The only negative that I came across was the busy parking and queuing to get in and out. I overheard a lovely woman who complained that it took her 35 hole minutes to get out of the car park, as she dropped off her two girls for a swim. Although I do understand that the business could have been due to all of the Saturday afternoon activities that the public where attending Thank you to all of the Colchester leisure centre staff for making me feel very welcome. In addition I will be attending this centre again.

One of the friendliest and busiest clubs in Colchester - I have played for them for about 6 years after moving to the area and although it's good to circulate and guest at other clubs I'll always stay a member of this one. Always competitive in the league as well, winning the Knock-Out cup a couple of years ago and currently top of the Men's 2nd league. If you want some competitive games and also a social element of pub visits and barbecues etc then go along to club night and you'll always be welcome
Great social club

Great venue! Wonderful setting, you would never know that you were in the heart of town. Perfect for those sunny days! The food is second to none and great value!
Liked it. A good venue for a private party. If you haven't been there for a while make sure you understand the new route by road. No longer accessible via Abby Gate

LOVE this club! The coaches have a fantastic approach to sport - whatever your ability, they want you there! Brilliant, year-round coaching programme for kids & adults alike, you don't have to have held a racket before to start! Loads of opportunities for everyone to enjoy tennis - 8 newly resurfaced courts, group & individual coaching, club sessions, fun & graded tournaments, team tennis, social play ... all in a fun, non-elitist, family-friendly environment. Sound like the kind of tennis you & your family want to be part of? - come down & join in!
Brilliant club. Been a member for years. Coaches have taught me and my son to play. Sporting ethic is terrific, encourages kids to grow into responsible, respectful individuals. Excellent coaching in really attractive grounds. Perfect club for families.
